Physical Demands of Our Tours
All tours are conducted on foot through Florence’s historic centre. Participants should be aware of the following:
Terrain and Surfaces
  • Uneven cobblestone streets, often slippery when wet
  • Narrow sidewalks or shared pedestrian-vehicle areas
  • Occasional gravel or unpaved paths
Stairs and Elevation
  • Duomo dome climb: approx. 463 steps (no lift)
  • Bell tower climb: approx. 414 steps
  • Steep uphill walking in certain areas
  • Historic buildings with stairs and uneven floors
Weather Conditions
  • High summer temperatures and humidity
  • Risk of dehydration and heat exhaustion
  • Slippery surfaces during rain
  • Limited shade in open areas
Duration and Effort
  • Tours last approximately 2.5 to 4 hours
  • Walking distance: 3 to 6 km
  • Extended standing periods are common
